All About CEFC

With the help of EFCA pastors from Deer Park and Colville, Chewelah Evangelical Free Church was incorporated in March, 2001.  The church called their first pastor in June 2002.Chewelah E Free Sanctuary

Since that time, the group has developed a distinct personality that is committed to the centrality of the Word of God, genuine worship, and a warm welcome for all who attend.  An exciting “After School Special” ministry was held at the public elementary school for several years, and the church was active in the “Priority One” outreach at both the junior high and high schools. People can choose from several wonderful Home Bible Fellowship Groups that have sprung up in a number of locations, ladies craft ministry, and we offer AWANA throughout the school year for children ages 5-12. Our Jr/Sr High youth group meets weekly, as well.

Our church (God’s church) includes small-town folks ranging from infant to several members in their 80s and 90s who are fondly referred to as our “Senior Saints!”  People have come from as far as Colville and Loon Lake – and across the mountain toward Usk — to find the fellowship and Bible preaching they are looking for in a church.

Services are held in the church building at 2211 Sand Canyon Road (the road that goes to the golf course). Our new building addition is almost completed, and we have a much larger sanctuary and additional restrooms. God has provided every penny needed for our property and building, and He is growing a committed and caring fellowship that is reaching out to its community and world with the “Evangel”—the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God!

Sunday morning worship services include a mix of contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns. Special music is incorporated into the service as often as we have willing musicians and singers.
