January 2, 2017 Update:
Dec 2, 2014 – This is NOT a Christmas note, although I should send one of those as well.
I am asking you to pray for Leyte and Samar as it appears that they are in the path of another tropical storm. It has the name Hagupit (22W). It has winds near 98 mph (about 156 kilometers per hour).
They are not sure which part of the Eastern Philippines it will make landfall in but it looks like it will be in the general area of the last huge storm. This storm, a typhoon by definition, is not nearly as big and strong but to the people who are still effected by the last one, it will be hard.
Pray for our new churches in that part of the country as these people are still living in tents or temporary structures.
They anticipate landfall on Tuesday (Wednesday in North America) or Wednesday (Thursday in North America).
Carol and I have many friends living in these areas that are potentially in the path of the storm.
For Vance and Carol
